The maintenance contract, honestly
Budget for it at purchase: distilled water top-ups on a schedule set by your float voltage and temperature, terminal care, and periodic specific-gravity readings — which are also OPzS’s gift, since state of health is directly measurable rather than inferred. Sites that keep the routine get the design life; sites that cannot should buy sealed.
OPzS or OPzV for an unmanned solar site?
OPzV. Flooded cells need watering; unmanned sites are where gel earns its premium.
Can OPzS cells be mixed into an existing string?
